All virtual reality fans are excited about the next release of PSVR 2, and everything seems to indicate that it will probably already be a reality to have it the following year, 2023.
An analyst at TF International Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, commented on Twitter that the PSVR 2 would soon enter mass production with a target of an early 2023 release.

My latest supply chain check suggests that the assembler and several component providers of PS VR2 will start mass production with about 1.5M units shipments in 2H22. Sony may launch it in 1Q23, depending on the development schedule of PS VR2 game titles. pic.twitter.com/NIqFgg4Kjl
If we analyze this information, it gives some credibility that this is true because remember that we recently heard a rumor that Sony was possibly looking at the launch of the new generation headphones in early 2023. Also, Ming-Chi Kuo is not the first analyst to suggest that PlayStation VR 2 will launch in 2023.
In April, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, claimed that the new headset would launch next year due to what he implies is a “delay.”
PSVR2 will feature 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view visuals with foveated rendering. Its OLED display will offer 2000×2040 resolution per eye and frame rates of 90/120hz.
At the moment, we do not have an official release date from PlayStation. Now we just have to wait to see if the rumor mentioned is accurate or not.
