As I promised, here is everything that went on today with the ‘Poke-announcements’. First of all, The Pokémon Company shared a brand new trailer with tons of gameplay and cute sneak peeks of new (and not-so-new) Pokémon.
Thrilling adventures are just around the corner! Meet professors Sada and Turo, you’re new guidance through this journey. They seem cool, and surely will help you out with any obstacle on your path. But first, they’ll put you through the most difficult decision ever: which starter will you choose?
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will have many never-before-seen Pokémon waiting to meet you. These are just a few of the incredible new Pokémon you’ll encounter in this new adventure. The feline grass-type Sprigatito, the firey gator Fuecoco, or the water-type duckling Quaxly. As we know, this first decision will come with a variety of unique Pokémon encounters and your first battles against other trainers.
Previous generations of Pokémon will stumble upon your way, and new ones will introduce themselves as soon as you go through the wilderness. You’ll probably have intense practice battles with Pawmi, Lechonk, and Smoliv as you step into some funny grass or come across a leafy forest.
A lot of gameplay sneak peeks display some of the features we’ll have on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, such as the Pokémon assistance pit-stops, the battle arenas, and even the different seasonal landscapes! And, of course, our legendary Pokémon for this version: Koraidon and Miraidon, both looking majestic and powerful.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will premiere worldwide on November 18, 2022. You can pre-order a digital version (now available on Nintendo eShop), individually, or as a double-pack that includes both games (available later on the Pokémon Center website and at participating video game retailers.)
