Today the Capcom Showcase 2022 was held and even though we already knew the games shown the details revealed gave us pleasant surprises.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak got a demo!
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak upcoming expansion is big, and believe us when we say BIG. New attacks, new locations and new special and rare monsters will be available and divided into four separate updates, the first one coming in August.
Did we mention that a demo arrives tomorrow? Because you will be able to play along with four other players in the Jungle map from Monster Hunter 2 which it is being enhanced to match Rise's more open areas.
Remember that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak officially arrives on June 30 2022, on Nintendo Switch and PC.
Fighters and arcades…
Street Fighter 6 didn’t bring something new to the table, however, they remind us to keep an eye open as more details will be disclosed before the end of this year or at last before its launch.
On the other hand, it was announced the Capcom Fighter Collection, a compilation of ten classic fighting games, all with online mode. It will be released on June 24th this year and the already known Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium with 32 classic arcade titles, arrives on July 22th.
Resident Evil is the jewel in the crown of Capcom Showcase 2022
As always Resident Evil surprised us with a bunch of long-awaited content.
Capcom finally announced the DLC Shadow of Rose which will serve as a sequel to the base story. You will follow in the footsteps of Rose, Ethan’s daughter 16 years after the end of Village. Also, the anticipated third-person version of Resident Evil Village is coming, accompanied by Mercenaries mode with new characters and stages where you will be able to play with Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu.
All three will be available via Winter’s Expansion arriving on October 28th of this year.
Clearly, this wasn’t the only RE announcement as on October 28th Re:Verse will begin with service. If you are not informed we remind you; Re:Verse is an online-only multiplayer where you can test your skills against other players in four to six-person survival horror revenge matches.
On the other hand Resident Evil 4 showed the same trailer presented at State of Play, followed by a few additional seconds more, in which we could see Leon and some hints of its gameplay.
Remember that it's confirmed to arrive on March 24, 2023, and will only be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Last but not least, today was confirmed that Resident 2 and 3 Remake and Village have a free update for the new generation. The Three adventures return with improved graphics engine, 3D audio and Ray Tracing which are also available today as a free update.
Exoprimal take us to Bikitoa
Ready for some rough vacations? The new Exoprimal trailer takes us to the Bikitoa island, where we are selected for a combat test, in which we will join with other players to kill hordes of dinosaurs. The data collected will allow us to improve the exo-suit that protects us.
Leviathan is in charge of bringing dinosaurs to our world, forcing us to fight against them in war games that are repeated endlessly, at least on 2023 the official year release.
Remember Exoprimal will hold a closed beta in which players will be able to test everything, you can sign up now, however it will be available until next year.
Celebrating in a different way
Dragons Dogma’s Ideaki Utsuno talked about the game’s tenth anniversary and mentioned the upcoming schedule for “10 Years of Dragon’s Dogma” digital event, soon they will start showing videos about the series, with a big surprise waiting for us starting June 16th. Hopefully the long-awaited sequel…
