Dragon Ball is a classic anime that marked an entire generation, especially those who grew up with it. With millions of fans worldwide, many of them were excited in 2015 when Toei Animation confirmed that a new animated series would be in production.
After completing the weekly anime, we learned more about the franchise with the manga and two unreleased movies. With Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero already in theaters in Japan and soon in the West, it is expected that the production team already has in mind what the next step for the franchise is.
DRAGON BALL SUPER WILL EXPAND WITH A NEW PROJECT
Akio Iyoku, head of the Dragon Ball department and producer of the most recent feature film, revealed in a recent question and answer session for V-Jump magazine that a new production set in the franchise's universe is already in the works, although neither revealed details about this mentioned.
“What comes next”? Well, if you are asking… a new entry on the series is… already in the making! Super Hero took us 5 years to make, so it’s only natural we’re already working on what comes next!”.

As you can see in the tweet, their statements do not give any details about what is coming; it only confirms that something is already being worked on, so we cannot know if a movie or animated series is being worked on.
