Last year, Goichi Suda, AKA Suda51, shared with the world his intentions to create a movie or TV show about No More Heroes. And while Suda thinks that the franchise should take a break from the gaming world, he sees something happening on different horizons. During an interview with Shacknews, Suda recently shared his thoughts about the cast and the direction for his idea. According to the conversation, “Suda51 shared his personal preferences for leading figures in a No More Heroes film:
“[For Travis Touchdown,] I’d probably go with Ryan Gosling. And as director, I’d probably go with James Gunn. But, conversely, if we were going to go with a Japanese director, I’d want to go with Takashi Miike.”
Let’s keep in mind that Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51 have worked with James Gunn on the gory and glittery Lollipop Chainsaw. So, a new collaboration with this team could deliver fascinating results. And even though it’s just a hypothetical situation, Suda51 looks eager to make this project a reality soon. We’ll have to wait and find out!
Do you think Ryan Gosling could impersonate Travis Touchdown? Let us know in the comment section!
