The highly praised game NieR: Automata was released five years ago. This title has been popular among the community mainly because of the possibility of unlocking different endings depending on the ‘decision-making’ process throughout the game. Naturally, this has led to many conversations on social media regarding the various endings: how many there were and how to unlock them. But none of these conversations talked about a secret area discovered less than a month ago.
A NieR: Automata player claims they’ve discovered a hidden section, and no one knows how they’ve done it.
According to Video Game Chronicles, the discovery began over a month ago when Reddit user u/radfutago asked members of the Nier Automata Reddit why they were able to access the church when their friend couldn’t. This was met with confusion as no such area was known to exist. This conversation created tons of questions until the user that made this fantastic discovery posted it on Twitter:
Ok Here it is! After being teased by the game's director @yokotaro two years ago, I discovered the "Final secret" in NieR Automata. Please take a moment to watch and retweet, as it was a monumental task. Also please enjoy the familiar cameo in the intro: https://t.co/XwhqDN5RmU pic.twitter.com/TfIMcHmriQ

A YouTube video posted by the Nier player shows an inaccessible door into a twisted white corridor. Remember, this area has never been discovered by another player. Here is the complete video of the miraculous task:
As if the discovery itself wasn’t incredible enough, it turns out that the secret white place seems to exist in an old art concept that was cute from the final game. How could this player manage to enter? No one knows. But they did. To this point, no one else has been able to enter this area but the player mentioned above.
Creator Yoko Taro had previously stated that all of the mysteries in the game had been solved. This led to speculation that this area was never intended to be found and has been removed in subsequent game versions.
