The new Saints Row game will be a reboot and it's coming out this month. As the release date approaches, developers reveal further details about the game.
Volition Studios with publisher Deep Silver show more and more gameplay moments of the open-world action-adventure thriller.
Today, the developers released a new video that introduces one of the game's main characters, criminal chef Kevin. His character combines a desire to cook with a desire to commit atrocities.
According to the authors, the character is “the guy who knows a guy who knows a guy.” Kevin has “the connections and the skills to get the attention of Santo Ileso.”
“A legend in the kitchen, his secret ingredient is crime,” Volition says. “Kev is all about love, not war – unless you cross his friends.”
Greg Chun, who played Takayuki Yagami in Judgment and Lost Judgment, Yu Nanba in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and more, will be playing Kevin. The developer released a short interview with him, where Chun talks about his role in the game.
Saints Row takes place in Santo Ileso, a vibrant fictional city in the American Southwest. A group of young friends embarks on their criminal venture as they rise to the top to become self-made in a world rife with crime, where lawless factions fight for power. The title launches on August 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
