Usually, saying that next year we will have a new main WWE game would seem pretty obvious. However, after how disappointing the most recent installments of the series were, rumors of a breakup of the relationship between WWE and 2K began to gain strength.
Ending all kinds of speculations, we just learned the relationship between both companies is good as the publisher has announced the development of WWE 2K23.
When will the next main WWE game come out?
The news was shared by Take-Two Interactive on Monday during the company's second-quarter earnings call, mentioning WWE 2K23 as one of its games programmed for a Fiscal 2023-year release. In terms of the calendar year, this means that it would be released sometime between now and March 31, 2023.

It was revealed that WWE 2K22 contributed to the company’s $1 billion in units sold for Q1 2022. Also, WWE 2K22 was the most successful entry in the WWE 2K franchise since 2013, when the company took over the license of WWE games.
At this time, we don't know on which platforms we will be able to play the next game in the series. However, it would seem logical to think of versions for PlayStation and Xbox, as well as on PC. The big question here is if the company will opt to launch it on PS4 and Xbox One or only on current-gen consoles.
