The anticipation for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remains high, and new information about the game keeps coming out. The latest update concerns the game's Campaign Mode, which players can access earlier than the title's release date in its physical format.

Activision has confirmed that the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will begin about a week before the full game's October 28 release. Those who pre-ordered the game digitally should become able to access the mode on the 20th.

The beta access dates for Modern Warfare 2 were recently confirmed, beginning September 16 for PlayStation players who pre-ordered the game. All other console players will be able to participate in the beta starting September 18.

For Xbox and PC players who have pre-ordered the game, the beta will be available starting September 22. The Modern Warfare 2 beta will open for all platforms on September 24.

''Familiar heroes return and new allies are formed as Task Force 141 faces its greatest threat yet — a newly aligned menace with deep, yet unknown connections.'' The official Call of Duty website reads.
