The beginning of 2022 saw many games launching, that includes Dying Light 2: Stay Human. So far, content for the title has been released, such as cosmetics and game modes. But now, Techland has revealed when fans can expect the first story DLC.
Today, the studio (along with Geoff Keighley, the host of Gamescom 2022's opening night) announced that the DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be revealed at the event. The announcement was accompanied by a brief teaser in which the brutal atmosphere inserted in the new campaign Bloody Ties can be witnessed.
What the teaser shows only confirms what data miners discovered last month when they revealed that the DLC would focus on gladiators. The DLC was supposed to see the light in June at first, but Techland announced that they needed more time to develop the content, postponing it until September.
''But remember - this is just an appetizer of what the Carnage Hall is truly about. Prepare for an even bigger rush of adrenaline and excitement when we uncover more during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live on August 23rd! See you there!'' The YouTube video description reads.
Dying Light 2 takes place 20 years after the events of Harran. Humans fought the virus and lost, now they are losing again. The City, one of the last large human settlements, is torn by conflict. Civilization has fallen back into the Dark Ages. And yet, there's still hope.
The game is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A Switch version is scheduled to be released later this year.
