Gamescom is only a few days away, and it looks like we won’t be having some of the news we were waiting for regarding a couple of Bethesda titles. In case you didn’t know, a blog post on the company’s site suggested that we could have more details regarding the first-person shooter Redfall and the anticipated horror game Starfield, during next week's showcase.
"Come see Redfall and Starfield gameplay and get your hands on Fallout 76 while you're there," the blog teased. "Of course, we also have a few surprises and goodies in store for you."
Unfortunately, after many fans were excited about the announcement, some noticed that the blog post no longer mentioned any of the games.
To verify what was really going on, we traced back Microsoft’s announcement (which now owns Bethesda) for its attendance at Gamescom. And none of it mentioned Redfall or Starfield.
Since Nintendo and Sony aren’t participating in the event mentioned above, there’s a lot of anticipation about Xbox’s showcase. The only platform at Gamescom will have a lot to talk about, but sadly there won’t be any Starfield news.
Even though many Bethesda followers are somewhat disappointed with the last-minute changes, there will be a lot of announcements to look forward to. So make sure to tune in next week! Don’t worry; if you won’t be able to watch it live, we will have all the “deets” right here on Level Up!
