If you consider yourself a Pokéfan, you have once dreamt of a world where Pokémon were real. You surely even fantasized about which one you would have on your team and if you would choose to be a trainer or even a gym leader.
Don’t mind me; I’ve had that dream too. But a Poké-fan on Reddit took the vision further and developed a conversation explaining what would happen if Pokémon existed and how useful they could be.
You read right. On Reddit, user u/Smeaglemehappy is providing a service: "Give me the name of Pokémon, and I will tell you how they would fit into the real world, be it for service, business, domestication, agriculture, decoration, anything!." As you can imagine, this “service” has already received thousands of comments, while the OP has been incredibly dedicated to answering people's submissions.
Among the most popular requests, we can highlight Spoink, to which u/Smeaglemehappy obliged: "Spoink are used worldwide by EMS as defibrillators. They do their job well due to their constant motion and emission of low psychic frequencies," they wrote. "When Spoink dies in America, they are given burials of the highest honor, swaddled in their Spoink coffins with the American flag, bagpipes playing in the distance."
Here’s another one, about Gardevoir: "Gardevoir and humans have had a relationship tracing back to ancient times. Their soothing nature and fierce loyalty have made them wonderful companions. In recent times they are considered human by many and even have voting rights in several countries. Some claim that a nation can be judged by how well they treat their Gardevoir".
You can find a lot more inquiries at his original Reddit post; I’m pretty sure you’ll have a blast with his responses!
