Discord is this functional application to communicate with gamers, create servers for your streaming community, voice channels to play with your squad, and much more. Unfortunately, it is not yet available on all platforms.
In case you didn't know, Sony invested in Discord last year, however, it's not yet available on PlayStation consoles, but that may change.
According to sources from Tom Henderson, one of the industry's most trusted insiders, it's said to be a matter of months before Discord hits PlayStation. As they explained, the integration will arrive as part of update 7.00 for PlayStation 5, while update 6.00 will come in mid-September.
In addition to that, the sources also reported that Discord for PlayStation 5 is currently undergoing testing to ensure optimal performance. These tests have been going on for months, and progress has been positive.
There are no more details about the Discord integration on PlayStation 5. Everything indicates that its function will let you join the voice chat of the Discord servers you are on.
WHO IS TOM HENDERSON?
We know that this information may sound mysterious and with little credibility. However, Tom Henderson is one of the most reliable sources in the industry, and it is information that comes from a subject who shares accurate information and not baseless rumors.
Another important point is that Henderson claims this information comes from the same source that told him about the existence of the DualSense Edge. In this way, it is news that comes from someone who has already shared correct information.
