What are the differences between Kirby's Dream Buffet and Fall Guys?

Is Kirby's Dream Buffet an adorable Fall Guys? If you didn't know about this title, don't feel guilty, Nintendo announced it without any previous clues. It was released very soon after its announcement, arriving on the Nintendo Switch console on August 17.

Many have compared this game to Fall Guys, but in an "adorable" version since in the first look at the trailer we got, you could see how the gameplay was about a Kirby race but in a confectionery and pastel colors environment.

WHAT IS KIRBY'S DREAM BUFFET ABOUT?

You'll roll through a feast of culinary-themed stages in this game in four-player rounds as Kirby. In a single match, you will start with a race to reach the finish line first, while on the way, you try to grab as many strawberries to earn points; then, there will be other game modes where you will fight against others to earn more points.

The four players are weighed in the final round, and the Kirby who has eaten the most wins the game.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES BETWEEN KIRBY’S DREAM BUFFET AND FALL GUYS?

The races: even though in both games you race to win, the main difference is that in Kirby's, you generate points by eating strawberries in the same race, while in Fall Guys, it focuses more on overcoming obstacles and being among the first to finish getting to the finish line.

The number of players: Nintendo's game only takes four players per match, while Fall Guys focus on a competition of up to 60 players, where also high-performance placement generates more rewards.

Local mode: the Nintendo title has local multiplayer, unlike Fall Guys, which are only online games.

Private games: both games have private matches with a key or code; however, the difference is that in Fall Guys, up to 60 people can participate, while in Kirby, only four.

Mini-games and final rounds: While the purpose of Fall Guys is to perform longer to generate rewards and be the first to arrive or the last one standing in the last round to win, in Kirby's Dream Buffet, it is more with mini-games within the same game, in which you focus on collecting strawberries and power-ups to earn more scores.

Cost of the game: While the Nintendo title costs $15 and is exclusive to Nintendo, the Mediatonic game has gone free-to-play on all platforms, making it a highly accessible game.
