Some time ago, we informed you of how Arcane, the League of Legends animated series, received a nomination at the 2022 Emmys in the category of “Outstanding Animated Program,” that is, the best-animated series of the year.
In this category, it was competing with big, high-profile productions like Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, and What it…? From Marvel.
Since Arcane's debut last year, it has become one of Netflix's most popular series for its high quality, also receiving critical acclaim.
ARCANE SUCCESSFUL AT THE EMMYS
Since the announcement of this nomination, thousands of fans were enthusiastic about this recognition, as many of them considered that he was worthy of this award.
And so, Arcane took the prize. Co-creator Christian Linke went on stage to receive the award and express a few thanks to all the people involved in the production and, of course, the fans.
"Thank you for this. It is something very important for us, since we come from video games. It was amazing to see how the world embraced our characters and our stories. Thanks to Netflix, who believed in us from the beginning. Thanks to Riot Games, who worked on all of the IP, and thanks to all the people who have been with our game and League of Legends for the last 12 years and who helped make the franchise as great as it is now," said Christian Linke in the ceremony.
Honored doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about winning the #Emmy for 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎.
