Judgment and Lost Judgment are two of the Yakuza franchise's most popular side story games in general. Although they've been out for a while, these two games didn't have a PC version, with the rumored reason being the strictness of Johnny & Associates, the management unit of actor Takuya Kimura.
There was a hint yesterday that these two games would be getting a PC version soon. More specifically, both titles unexpectedly updated "Windows PC" in the list of game platforms on the ESRB game age-appropriate rating website. This caused fans of the series to focus their attention on the RGG Summit event.
Just two hours after the company's event ended, RGG Studio announced on their social media accounts that the two titles are now on sale on Steam.
Judgment and Lost Judgment are two Yakuza universe spin-off games. They revolve around Takayuki Yagami, a former lawyer who becomes a private detective after an incident at work.
Because he has to investigate cases related to the Japanese underworld, Yagami often gets caught up in street fights; this is an opportunity for him to show off his martial arts skills. Accompanying Yagami is Masaharu Kaito, a former yakuza.
Judgment and Lost Judgment are currently two games "inheriting" the beat 'em up gameplay of the Yakuza franchise after the franchise started using turn-based RPG gameplay, starting with Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
