If you woke up early yesterday to not miss the Nintendo Direct, we could bet that you were one of those eager to wait for some news from The Legend of Zelda. And fortunately for most fans, they did receive good news. Nintendo finally, after many years, has shared its official release date and the title's name.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is what this long-awaited sequel will be called, it is clear that now the hype of fans has increased with thousands of publications about the title, but surely you did not expect that the famous name of the game already had leaked.
How? You will surely ask yourself. Everything seems to indicate that last week, to be specific, on September 4, a user under the name of milonssecretcastle, whose account no longer exists, decided to leak the name of the sequel on Reddit; however (luckily), hardly anyone noticed.
In case you missed it: Nintendo Direct September 13, 2022 summary!
It's clearly hard to say how he knew the game's name before the announcement to create the subreddit. The suspicions say that it was very possibly a Nintendo worker or insider.
However, it is positive that this leak has not become a trend because if so, it would indeed have ruined the surprise factor for everyone, and perhaps the community hype would not have been the same.
If you missed the game's trailer, here you can see it:
