Capcom’s digital presentation from this year’s Tokyo Game Show just ended, and we still can’t get over it. There were nearly 50 minutes of announcements and gameplay, so you can imagine the hype!

If you weren’t able to watch it live, here is a summary of everything that went down at Capcom’s showcase:

Also, a massive expansion is available now, so get your Nintendo Switch and… happy hunting!

Resident Evil

One of the most anticipated announcements regarding the Resident Evil franchise was the arrival of its fourth installment on various consoles. And, ta-dah! Here it is:

Next year, Resident Evil 4 will arrive on next-gen consoles and Steam, but don't feel discouraged if you don't have any of these. Capcom shared its intention to take this release further to other consoles somewhere in the future. More info on this title will be released next month during a particular Resident Evil showcase.

There were also other exciting announcements from Capcom about this terrific but iconic franchise.

A new Resident Evil VIllage Gold Version was confirmed to come with the Winter's Expansion, arriving on October 28.

The latest expansion offers a new perspective with an over-the-shoulder vision. This will be a brand-new way to play the franchise, allowing a different experience from a different point of view. Also, you can't miss the Shadows of Rose, Ethan's daughter story that will surely leave you frozen. Yeah, she can freeze enemies, so this got a lot more interesting! More stories are coming with Winter's Expansion for more binging hours of jumpscares and fright.

Pre-order now for a special surprise (demo available now)!

Oh, and guess what, Resident Evil Village also is coming to your MacBook (with M1 and M2 chips). So stay tuned for more information on this new way of gaming!

Exoprimal

A dino-sized amount of info on Exoprimal just dropped at Tokyo Game Show 2022! We’ve got the latest on new Exosuits, including the sword-wielding Murasame and high-flying Skywave, a closer look at the game’s characters, and much more.

There’s more than just the Exosuit model to consider, though. Lots of customization options are coming your way! Aside from the existing rigs that players wielded in the Closed Network Test – the powerful Cannon, Exosuit-repairing Aid, and long-jumping Catapault – a new rig was also revealed: Blade, a large electromagnetic shuriken that can paralyze enemies on contact.

Just like your Exosuit, your rig can be swapped at any time during gameplay, allowing you and your squad to adapt to any mission, situation, or threat on the fly.

Next, friends and foes. You’ll come across many of these as you explore the world of Exoprimal, starting with a few familiar faces you’ve likely already seen: The Hammerheads. Strictly speaking, “The Hammerheads” is an unofficial name for Patrol Squad #52585 of the Aibius Corporation. While it may be challenging to know who’s a friend and who’s a foe when it comes to humans, you can feel safe knowing that the myriad of dinosaurs being unleashed is always going to be hungry for Exosuits. To that end, three new types of dinos have been revealed.

That was a monster amount of info to cover, so those of you hungry for more can head over to the official Exoprimal website for more details on suits, rigs, and more.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Recently announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022 by none other than the game’s director, Masakazu Eguchi (who many of you also know as Mr. Famous), it was confirmed that online features would be a part of all ten games included in Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection!

Mr. Famous himself couldn’t help but share more details during the digital event. Here is a transcript from his presentation at Tokyo Game Show:

“Battle routine, set! Execute! Long time no see, everyone! It’s Mr. Famous!
Mega Man Battle Network has returned to the TGS stage in the form of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection! I’m so happy to be able to give you more news on Battle Network, almost 17 years since Mega Man Battle Network 6!

It’s been a while since the announcement of the Legacy Collection, but our team has been very motivated seeing all the excitement on social media! Now, I’m sure there’s something you’re all wondering about… right? That’s right, the online functions!

Don’t worry. No matter what, we’re always connected! We’re currently working on online functions such as online battles and chip trading for each game! We’ll all still be connected in this game!

I’d love to tell you about this beautifully remade lab coat, but that’s all I can say for now! We’ll share more details in a future presentation. That’s all from Mr. Famous!”

However, online features aren’t the only news we have to share today. Just like how Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE connect through Lan’s PET, or PErsonal Terminal, a 3D MegaMan.EXE will guide you through the game selection screen and gallery, complete with voiced reactions! If you’re playing on a handheld platform, it’s a lot like having a PET of your own. If you need to talk to MegaMan, just press… well, you probably know.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2023!

Street Fighter 6

As expected, Capcom left the most anticipated announcements for last. A new trailer was released during TGS 2022, and let’s just say it was worth the wait:

The World Tour mode has been shown with a little more detail; the characters and its endless customization possibilities, the great arenas, and the fighting scenes. Man, they are too much, and it’s still too early in the day to process it all. Nevertheless, it sure looks like a good feature for the upcoming Street Fighter installment.

The Fighting Ground looks like a refresh on the classic way of playing, and the characters we know since forever look as cool as ice. In this game mode, you’ll also notice the Extreme Battles, which will surely give you a familiar way of fighting with items and different rules (a game title that rhymes with Slash, cough cough.)

And what’s that about a Battle Hub? With arcade-like battles? Wow, Capcom really took this to the next level. Now that there will be different game mods, choosing one will be the actual battle.

But wait, there’s more!

Esports caster Kosuke Hiraiwa and musician H.E.Demon Kakka will join the Real-Time Commentary Feature in Street Fighter 6! More updates on upcoming commentators were said to arrive in the future.

And last but not least, we have for you an exciting announcement. A closed beta for Street Fighter 6 is coming from October 7 to October 10, with crossplay included. Make sure to check out the official Street Fighter 6’s website for applications and requirements.

That's all folks!! Did you enjoy any of these announcements? Let us know in the comment section!
