Sad news for Nintendo long-time fans. The Japanese giant recently announced that it would suspend social media logins for Nintendo Accounts next month. Also, it will remove Image Share on 3DS and Wii U.
It’s been a while since the big N shared this information regarding older consoles. Little by little, the company has been terminating various services for Nintendo 3DS and WiiU. We recently learned that Nintendo will close the eShop storefronts on 27th March 2023.
As of 25/10/2022, it will no longer be possible to sign in to a Nintendo Account using a Facebook or Twitter account. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Don’t panic just yet. It's still possible to log into your Nintendo Account via a linked Twitter or Facebook account. This feature won’t longer be available after October 25th. But… starting October 25th, you’ll only be able to log in using your email address and password or through a Google or Apple account. Keep in mind that creating a Nintendo Account with a Facebook or Twitter account won’t be allowed.
Unfortunately, Image Share will also be discontinued on October 25th; you'll be unable to post images to Facebook and Twitter through your 3DS and WiiU consoles.
The Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Image Share services will be discontinued on 25/10/2022. Thank you for your support of these services.

If you still use either of these features, it’s highly recommended that you check your Nintendo Account password. Write it down somewhere safe or just make sure you know it by heart. You should also save or share any content you have stored and been meaning to upload online.
