Renowned modder Lance McDonald claims that Sony would be perfectly capable of bringing a remastered edition of Bloodborne to the PC and PlayStation 5 without involving FromSoftware in any way.
A response to Jeff Grubb's claim that FromSoftware was too busy to take care of Bloodborne, claiming that the game's code was particularly complex and "messed up" enough to make porting or remaster work by other studios difficult.
I don't know where the "FROMSOFTWARE engine is messy / spaghetti code" idea keeps coming from. It's not true, and there are literally zero technical barriers between Bloodborne and a PC/60fps PS5 port/re-release. Sony can do it at any time they like without FROM's support. https://t.co/xMB0moiyLX

McDonald (who managed to run Bloodborne at 60fps with a patch) claims that none of this is true and that repurposing Bloodborne on PlayStation 5 and PC would be trivial without FromSoftware's assistance.
Furthermore, the modder mentions that "60 fps on PlayStation 4 can be enabled by changing a few lines of code," and that before closing, Japan Studio owned a build of Bloodborne for Windows 7, which is likely still in Sony Interactive Entertainment's archives.
Because Bloodborne is Sony's proprietary IP, the Japanese company can outsource any sequels, porting, or remastering to other studios, but this has not yet occurred, and the future of the brand is currently unknown, with FromSoftware preoccupied with shaping the future of Elden Ring.
