Since BioWare confirmed that Dreadwolf is the official name of Dragon Age 4, there has been no new information about the popular fantasy RPG series, whose most recent game, Dragon Age Inquisition, was released in 2014.
The development of Dragon Age Dreadwolf continues apace, but it is currently too early to predict when the actual game will be released to the public. Meanwhile, BioWare has released a new post on its official blog with an interview with Ryan Cormier and Sylvia Feketekuty, the narrative editor and senior writer of the upcoming Dragon Age, respectively.
Among other things, the authors discuss the plot of the game and how it will connect to previous games: Cormier promises that "Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been a balance of providing answers to long-standing questions for veteran fans while making a game that new players, or someone who only played DA:I years ago, can also get into.''
The narrative editor adds: ''Unlike the vast galaxies we explore in our other franchises, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf returns us to Thedas, where we can revisit friends and places that are familiar. Some fans haven’t spent time with Dragon Age since the 2014 release of Inquisition, while others have read every comic and story published since. Others never played a Dragon Age game at all and have no idea who the bald guy is (he’s Solas).''
According to Feketekuty, "obviously, there are many other narrative issues to be dealt with, but we cannot go deeper until the game is available."
The blog entry concludes by pointing out that work on Dragon Age Dreadwolf is progressing, and that there will soon be much more substantial insights into the work.
