The Hitman 3 development team released an update on the game's upcoming content today, revealing a few more details about the Freelancer mode, which will soon be the subject of a Beta.
The Hitman 3 Freelancer Closed Technical Test, about to arrive on Steam, is intended to test the servers ahead of launch and to evaluate certain aspects of the balance, including the experience point distribution system.
Players who get their hands on this Beta version will not be able to discover all the secrets of the mode, which will be made available only when the final version is released.
According to the development team, Freelancer is a single-player mode based on typical roguelike mechanics in which one must plan every move, as well as the option of customizing the safehouse, which should serve as a hub between games. For the uninitiated, IO Interactive's goal is for Freelancer to arrive on January 26, 2023, as a free update for all owners of the reboot series' third installment.
Following the announcement of Google Stadia's closure, IO Interactive confirmed that it is working on a way for Hitman 3 players to continue playing on other platforms, and some speculate that free keys to the title will be distributed.
