The beginning of the Overwatch 2 era has been anything but smooth, and also complicit in critical bugs for Bastion and Torbjörn. After this disappointing launch by Blizzard, therefore, the company has decided to give players cosmetic items and a weekend of bonus XP so that the bitter pill becomes more digestible.
The first few days have not been kind to Activision Blizzard; a DDoS attack made it nearly impossible to connect to servers and transfer heroes and skins from the first chapter, while a problem enraged Xbox players.
As written on Twitter, players will enjoy a double weekend of bonus experience points to help them grind levels in the Battle Pass and will receive a med-pack Charm and the Cursed Captain Reaper skin.
This does not seem to satisfy many users, however, as the tweet thread is full of other complaints: some comments are pure trolls, while others criticize the changes to the Battle Pass and the policies adopted for the skin store, but are not limited to such issues.
In any case, it remains a positive sign as it shows the willingness of the developers not to ignore the community; perhaps we will see more changes in the coming weeks to satisfy the most loyal players.
