Cyberpunk: Edgerunners gave Cyberpunk 2077 a new chance with players and it's natural that some of them want to see more elements from the anime in the game… here is when mods appear. If you haven't watched the Netflix anime yet I have to warn you that you're about to read a big spoiler, so here's your chance to stop and go watch it immediately.
Ready? Well here goes: Within the anime, the cyber-psychopaths are humans who end up completely deranged by the excess of cybernetic implants, actually many characters died thanks to it.
Although this is an important part of the whole plot and is present in the game, the player does not experience the psychosis in the same way as in the series. However, a modder wasted no time and added a cyberpsychosis and humanity meter to capture the idea within Cyberpunk 2077.

Created by DJ_Kovrik this mod, adds the Humanity stat which will be affected by the number of cybernetic implants inside your body, the Berserk/Sandevistan usage and the committed kills. How will we know it's too low? Thanks to a widget next to your life bar.
Just like in the anime, when it drops you will experiment Humanity thresholds which affect your character, these being:
- Glitches: launches light visual glitches and adds a critical damage debuff, it's better to go to sleep at this stage.
- Pre-Psychosis: launches more visual glitches and adds a critical chance debuff, also can trigger Cyberpsychosis with some probability (configurable).
- Cyberpsychosis: launches the heaviest visual glitches but buffs your movement speed, armor value and health regeneration, and if your character is not in an interior or dangerous area then triggers police spawn as well.
As it says above your humanity can be “restored” by a good night's sleep or the use of neuroblockers, so, don’t worry, you will live the complete experience.
