With the temporary closure of Fortnite Battle Royale's servers, it is already time to find out what the special Fortnitemares 2022 will bring as a gift to the community.
The Epic Games team has created a detailed trailer for the Halloween-themed event. The video ushers in the spookiest night of the year by confirming that Fortnite's new 22.20 update will enable Fortnitemares content activation. So, starting today, Tuesday, October 18, and continuing until November 1, it's time to battle monsters in Fortnite!
What's new in this spooky event?
Head to the Tree of Reality, where frequenters of the game island will find special altars waiting for them, but also in other areas of the map, it will be possible to perform a new Ritual Emote, which will grant players the special Howler Claws equipment.
Thanks to the item, it is possible to activate the Wolfscent skill, which places a mark on nearby opponents. For a certain period, it will thus be possible to make use of a special vision, the activation of which will be signaled to victims with the sound of a heartbeat. The Howler Claws will also allow for new attack combos.

Fans of Fortnite's Zero Construction mode will instead be able to indulge in the Horde Rush, a horde mode that will remain available until next Nov. 15, 2022, even after this spooky Halloween event ends.
