The winners of the Canada Best Places To Work Awards 2022 have been revealed today. The event is held yearly by GamesIndustry.biz to honor the highest responsibility of the video game industry, taking care of its employees.
More than once, we learned about poor work conditions, harassment, and abuse in several video game developers and publishers. This news, as disappointing as they are, is the best example of why the industry needs to acknowledge the companies doing things right.
The awards event is about making the games industry a better place to work and is decided by an in-depth survey of employees. The 16 winners, plus a series of special winners, were announced via a 35-minute online ceremony.
