While enjoying praise for his excellent work on Pentiment, the peculiar new exclusive for Windows PC and Xbox platforms, John Sawyer admitted that he dreams of a return on the Fallout series.
Sawyer edited the acclaimed Fallout New Vegas and would be totally open to a return to the RPG series, exactly as stated by Obsidian co-founder Feargus Urquhart.
Where could another Fallout take place?
According to VGC, despite some pressure during the development period, Josh Sawyer remembers positively the time he worked on New Vegas: "It was a crazy time because it was only 18 months, but the project was fantastic and totally satisfying,'' his words during a chat with Kinda Funny Games.
Sawyer candidly admitted that he loves the Bethesda franchise: "I love Fallout, I love the setting, I could see myself working on it again, but you know, we'll see where the future takes me."
Sawyer was also asked what his dream setting might be for a new series iteration: "I'm not really sure; I haven't thought about it for quite a while because, again, it came into my life and then flew away. I talked about New Orleans. I think California or even the Midwest would be very interesting.''
In case you missed it: Sonic Frontiers will receive several free DLC.
Bethesda's Todd Howard confirmed that Fallout 5 would be released after The Elder Scrolls 6, but we do not know if a new Obsidian-edited chapter might be in the company's plans.
