Crunchyroll shared an unexpected announcement about their new 8-bit action-adventure game Hime's Quest. What's more surprising is that it can actually be played in Game Boy Color!

What do we know about the game?
You will take control as Crunchyroll-Hime to save the anime club from Y2K. As provided from Crunchyroll, the synopsis is the following:
“It's in 1999, something electric is in the air. A malevolent force has crept into New Crunchy City, wreaking havoc on its technology, and tragically destroying the Anime Club’s precious DVD / VCR combo player. Can you root out the dastardly cretin brazen enough to ruin their meeting?”
The pre-orders for the game will be from November 18 to December 23, this will be to obtain the exclusive Game Boy Color cartridge in “Crunchyroll Orange”. For the “Limited Run Blue” cartridge, the pre-order time is extended until December 25, 2022, at 11:59 PM ET.

Both editions have the special Hime's Quest folded poster and a manual. The price is the same for any color you decide to buy, being $44.99 at the Crunchyroll Store and the Limited Run Games site.
“For fans without a Game Boy Color, Hime's Quest will be free-to-play and download on supported browsers later this year” after its launch.
