You may be too young to remember that back in the 90s, Rare was the studio responsible for releasing several titles that ended up being absolute jewels in the history of video gaming, Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye… I’m sure you can name one. So, we were pleasantly surprised after a group of Rare veterans decided to team up to release what they call “the ultimate Christmas song for gamers”
Legendary composers David Wise, Grant Kirkhope, and Video Game Artist Kevin Bayliss got together under the name of Retro-Fusion to bring you this catchy tune for this season.

Prepare to play it at your Christmas dinner
Kevin Bayliss was in charge of the vocals for this song called “Video Gaming Christmas”, however, you should know his work as a designer on games like Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie and Star Fox Adventures. Credits don’t end there, Bayliss is also a voice actor who precisely voiced characters in all the games mentioned above.
On the other hand, Grant Kirkhope and David Wise are the masterminds behind the soundtrack of Banjo-Kazooie and GoldenEye. Actually, Kirkhope is well known in the community for remastering and remixing his old video game compositions.
Without further due we will leave the song below, enjoy!
