There are not many video game movie adaptations that are R-rated, we are pretty used to the family-friendly ones so imagine our surprise when the Tetris movie were rated R, but wait! This is not a slasher or a Neo-noir film it has a very simple reason.

According to the classification and rating administration's official portal Film rating.com the movie has been rated R, the reason? Language, that is all. Apparently, the movie has its very big share of swear words so PG-13 was never an option.
Now, in case you haven’t heard about the Tetris movie before you should know that the film will be released on Apple TV+ in 2023, it will focus in the battle for the rights of the video game and will star Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers the Dutch video game designer and entrepreneur who secured the rights to distribute Tetris on video game consoles, on the other hand Nikita Yefremov will play Alexey Pajitnov, the Russian-born computer engineer and video game designer known for designing and developing the game.
Of course, every movie needs a “villain” and the notorious tycoon and politician Robert Maxwell will be portrayed by Roger Allam, so a very interesting movie is coming.
