Just a few weeks after the launch of Gotham Knights on PC and last-generation consoles, Warner Bros Montreal has already sprung into action in the creation of its next project, probably related to a beloved superhero.
As some rumors have mentioned recently, the software house is reportedly already in the throes of another DC Comics-themed game, and further confirmation may have come from the Linkedin profile of a team member. Bryan Theberge, the company's senior producer, updated his social network profile with references to a new project whose work began just a month ago.
Everything fits together
If we then consider the recent job announcement through which WB Montreal is looking for new developers capable of working with the Unreal Engine and artists with skills in character and equipment creation, it is evident that something is simmering.
But why is everyone convinced that the game in question is related to Superman? The answer is simple and can be found on WB Montreal's official website, where wording recently appeared confirming the team's goal, which is to 'develop video games that expand the DC universe.' With Rocksteady grappling with the Arkhamverse, it is unlikely that Batman could be the next game's protagonist. The hero most appreciated by users is indeed Clark Kent, who could finally be at the center of a game of his own.
In case you missed it: Overwatch 2 will release a new legendary skin that you can buy in exchange for a coin.
Since James Gunn is now in control of the DC universe, therefore, it cannot be ruled out that the team's next game will be dedicated to the new Superman and will also play an essential role in relation to future films.
