James Gunn wants to listen to the internet no sense and has put a stop to the rumours that suggest that the HBO Max’s Green Lantern series is cancelled by using only one word.
You must know that the Green Lantern series has been in development for many years now, actually since 2019, and naturally, people think that no news on it is equal to cancellation, but sometimes production times, scripts and opinions among the production team tend to take its time.

Groundless rumours
Answering to a tweet from the news portal Comic Book Resources, where they informed that the series had been axed, the director and producer just said “Fake.”
Fake.

Of course, after Gunn himself answered CBR had to delete the tweet to prevent further backlash.
In case you are not familiar with the project you should know that The Green Lantern series has Arrow producer Greg Berlanti on board and a couple of months ago it was reported that the focus of the show had shifted.
Originally, the series would follow Guy Gardner and Alan Scott, with Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine in the roles, however, the new focus seems to centre on John Stewart, one of DC’s first Black superheroes and one of the longest-serving Green Lanterns.

Better heard Gunn, as recently was announced that DC Studios division is going be led by James Gunn, and producer Peter Safran, who are now co-presidents, co-directors and responsible for ongoing and planned projects.
