Death Stranding always causes a commotion, either after announcing Death Stranding 2 or if it suddenly goes free for Christmas. This time the latter has caused one of the most prominent gaming launchers and stores, Epic Games store to crash.
In case you forgot: Death Stranding amassed 10M players in three years
The game was available for free on Christmas only for 24 hours, however, the platform could not cope with the traffic of users insistently seeking to get Death Stranding for free.
We're currently investigating an issue that may cause players to be unable to login to Epic Games services.

Eventually, everything was fixed however it was a little bit late for some how never got to put their hands in their free copy.
I was unable to claim Death Stranding because every time I would hit add to cart it would log me out

But wait, there is more
Ok, this affected some but may have helped others, apparently some players got to download the Director cut version for free, however, this was fixed quicker because when other users tried to do the same they got the base version instead.
Every time I hit either "Get" or "Add to cart" the launcher logs me out and then hangs up, requiring a Force Quit. Also, it's pretty lame that the Directors Cut was listed as free then it got downgraded to the base game. I've seen some people that got to claim the DC for free.
