Via the official support page, we received confirmation that Starfield will be released in the first half of 2023 exclusively on Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Evidently not enough information for fans who have been trying to guess the exact launch date of Bethesda's space opera.
Initially expected for November 11, 2022, Starfield has been pushed back to a generic first half of this year. Since Bethesda is wont to pick particular days to launch its titles (Starfield was scheduled for exactly 11 years after Skyrim), gamers are trying to figure out what date Microsoft's company might be aiming for.
When is this title coming out?
The most credited hypothesis of the moment would have Starfield arriving on April 12, which coincides with the International Day of Man's Journey into Space. This would be a particularly fitting anniversary for a game that promises to let us travel to a boundless universe with more than 1,000 planets.
Another papable date is March 23, which would serve as a tribute to Operation Gemini 3, the first spaceflight made by the United States of America in a capsule with a crew of two, which served as preparation for the much better-known Apollo program by which they reached the Moon.
