As Naoki Yoshida advises people to buy a PlayStation 5 to play Final Fantasy XVI coming in March this year, Square-Enix unveils with a trailer all the new features coming with Final Fantasy XIV's very rich 6.3 patch.

With the "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble" update, the MMORPG is already being enriched with new quests for the main story, side quests, an 8-player trial on Normal or Extreme difficulty, a 24-player raid, the new Lapis Manalis dungeon, the Ultimate Raid (due out in two weeks), and more.

A huge update

"In the darkness of the Thirteenth, the Warrior of Light finds an unexpected new ally: Zero, a creature of the void with a human form. Zero will return to the Source for a while along with the Warrior of Light, and after recovering from the most recent Trials, the two prepare to continue their search for Azdaja. However, a terrible threat stands in their way..." Square-Enix reveals the new main story quests.

The patch will also include updates to the Duty Support system and the Island Sanctuary and Gold Saucer with the new Leap of Faith map. Finally, not to forget the new Tribal Quest "Loporrits" with daily quests for the Disciples of the Land; the Deep Dungeon (Eureka Orthos), the highly anticipated successor to Palace of the Dead and Heaven-on-High; the Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures; and the update to the Manderville Weapons.

In case you missed it: Twitter will make changes that will impact the platform.

In November last year, Final Fantasy XIV reached 27 million registrations, This means that the title remains one of the most popular and active MMORPGs today.
