In recent years we have seen a new wave of gaming products that focuses on what could be the new trend in the community. In this case, we are talking about Razer Edge, the new handheld console that is said to be considered a rival to Nintendo Switch, although it is a direct competitor to other handheld consoles such as Logitech G Cloud, Aya Neo Next, and Steam Deck.
The renowned hardware company Razer has confirmed that the release date for this new console is January 26, 2023, and prices start from $399.99. Initially, we can find the pre-order availability of Razer Edge Wi-Fi (399.99) and Razer Edge Founders Edition with a cost of $499.99, but the third edition Razer Edge 5G is yet to be announced its price and we can anticipate that it will be in the coming weeks.
Razer Edge also includes support to stream games from Steam and Xbox Game Pass. And it also has Xbox Cloud Gaming in Beta, making it a great option that can be better enjoyed once the feature gets enhanced to the point of providing the same experience as if you were playing on PC.
At the moment Razer Edge is limited to the Google Play store in terms of native gaming, but the support provided on the aforementioned services will give it a boost in popularity and be considered an alternative option that you can try if you are mostly interested in mobile games available on Google Play.

Overall we can say that Razer Edge is a competitor to handheld consoles with the potential to be much better and even reach the level offered by the renowned Steam Deck, but time and the community will tell if Razer will be able to achieve such a challenge.
