Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra franchise have always fantasized about getting more content on either of those two series or focusing on a new avatar, and months ago, the dream came true.
As we had already commented a few months ago, several Avatar movies, The Last Airbender and Korra, were confirmed for the next few years.
They haven't given many details about the movies, just the fact that the first movie would arrive in 2025, focusing on the lives of Avatar Aang with his team as young adults.
In case you missed it: Avatar The Last Airbender: We already have a release date for the first movie!
We will go further since it has been confirmed that a film focused on the story of Zuko, a character known from the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, will arrive in 2026. This would be the second animated film after the one mentioned above.
Based on Avatar Studios' plans of one movie and one show per year, we can currently project that the second movie will come a year after the first, taking the same Friday slot in the next year's calendar: October 9th, 2026. Remember that this it's just a projection; only the year is confirmed by Paramount.
Not much information has been released yet, nor do we know what stage of his life the Zuko movie will focus on. But, it could be in a period of his life that is consistent with the first film in which they will be shown as young adults, perhaps so they would follow a storyline according to the years.
Something positive is that if Zuko's story is based on his youth, it will probably be Dante Basco who will return as his voice actor, as he's already attached to voice adult Zuko in the 2025 movie!
