One of the official video games based on the world of The Simpsons that has been most liked by the community is The Simpsons Hit & Run. This title, which was launched in 2003, has been attracting the attention of many players since the fact that the soundtrack of the game was put on different streaming music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music is being shared by networks. But in reality, this event is not at all recent.
Surprisingly, Disney has released the soundtrack to The Simpsons Hit and Run on Spotify like Go Simpsonic with The Simpsons, Testify and Songs in the Key of Springfield. pic.twitter.com/vZTciqO58L

Although this game has been forgotten over time by the right holders, after almost 20 years of its release it receives some unexpected attention by having its soundtrack shared on different music services. But as we mentioned at the beginning, it is not something that happened this week. The soundtrack has been available since September 2022 and went unnoticed all this time.
It was first shared by The Simpsons Hit & Run speedrunner LiquidWiFi via Twitter as you can read below, and we can see some other fans speculating that this happening out of the blue could probably mean a remake. Unfortunately, that won't be the case as Matt Selman, an individual who worked on the animated show since 1997, stated via IGN that "it's a complicated corporate octopus to try to" bring back.
The entire Hit & Run soundtrack is on Spotify and iTunes

Initially I thought that it was a rando but Disney would NOT let anyone charge a dollar (iTunes) per song, for a soundtrack made for Simpsons
If Disney are paying attention to SHAR this could be something...
We may not be able to get a remake of this beloved title, but at least we can enjoy the OST which, after giving it a brief listen, we can notice that apart from the feeling of nostalgia we can also highlight that the songs are very good.
In case you missed it: Afterimage, new gameplay video and release date
Somehow, although it is not possible to see this game recreated for the current generation of consoles, we got a small gift that many can enjoy. Lovers of video game soundtracks will be able to enjoy the great songs that The Simpsons Hit & Run brought 20 years ago.
