Since January 6, 2023, we have been anticipating the new Horde Mode XL that would be coming for World War Z: Aftermath, which was announced to be released today, January 24. Indeed, this big update has arrived, and with it, a few other features have finally been revealed.
Saber Interactive didn't want to give us all their new content revealed, so today, we discovered that other new things were in the shadows waiting for this day.
Horde Mode XL
World War Z: Aftermath arrives on next-gen consoles with a new game mode that will bring a lot more of fun to play along with your friends or even to challenge yourself. Scattered among the standard waves of enemies special XL waves are bursting with over 1,000 zombies.
New free update for everyone
As officially stated by Saber Interactive, all players that own "World War Z: Aftermath and World War Z on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC get a free update today featuring new mutators for the standard Horde Mode Z mode, a revamped weapon progression system, and two deadly new weapons: the sai knives and tri-barrel shotgun."
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can upgrade for free on their respective platforms and experience all the action in stunning 4K|60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X (4K not supported on Xbox Series S).
