Dead Island 2 has been years in the making and has suffered many delays. The most recent one was announced at the end of 2022 and disappointed many players. Fortunately, Deep Silver shared some very good news this morning: the game's development is complete, and its release date will be brought forward.
Through a statement, the company confirmed that the sequel has already reached its Gold stage, so its development process has finally been completed. Now everything related to its distribution will be worked on. In addition, they revealed the new release date.
WHAT IS THE NEW RELEASE DATE FOR DEAD ISLAND 2?
The title was originally going to debut on February 3 but was pushed back to April 28 at the last minute. The good news is that fans will now be able to enjoy it 1 week early. Dead Island 2 will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC on April 21.
The study ensured that it listened carefully to the requests of the community, so it did its best to complete the development in time and thus be able to advance the release date. Now that it's in the Gold stage of its development, Dead Island 2 won't suffer another delay.
Players waiting for the title celebrated in a big way and thanked the company for the great news to start the week. The studio recalled that a fan requested for the game to arrive 1 week early, so they granted their wish.
