Nintendo fans are excited about The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but there is one detail that does not convince them: Mario's voice. Since the revelation of the movie, the community has been harshly criticizing the performance of Chris Pratt, the actor who will bring the iconic character to life.
Because of this, it seems that Nintendo modified an important detail in one of the most recent trailers. Specifically, we are referring to the scene where Mario and other characters appear in vehicles in the purest Mario Kart style.
THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE MODIFIED MARIO'S ICONIC WAHOO!
One observant fan made a comparison of that scene, noticing that it was somewhat different in the official trailer and an ad Nintendo recently released. As you'll notice below, Mario's iconic shout (wahoo!) sounds a bit different.
Initially, this moment excited many gamers, who thought Pratt's scream sounded good as it closely resembled the one heard in the games. However, there was also criticism and some fans were disappointed.
The version of the scream heard in a promo is somewhat different, again dividing community opinion. The reason for this adjustment is not known for sure, but some people speculate that Nintendo changed it due to initial criticism. However, it is not confirmed.
