Last week, the news shook the industry. Shinji Mikami, father of Resident Evil and leader of Tango Gameworks announced his departure from the studio in what appears to be a retirement from video games. The community was quick to remember the trajectory of the Japanese creative and thank him for his work, a gesture that was returned by him.
Thank you to all who have supported Tango so far. I am leaving Tango, but the young people have grown up well.

Please continue to support the games that Tango releases in the future.
After Shinji Mikami and Bethesda confirmed his departure from Tango Gameworks, the Japanese creative was present on his Twitter account where he thanked the community for the signs of affection, as the publications that reported his departure were filled with praise and gratitude for the video games he left throughout his career of more than 30 years.
Mikami also pointed out that a younger generation of creatives has risen at Tango Gameworks and he believes they are ready to take over the studio, hence he asked for support for their future videogames. At the same time, the Japanese creative was touched by all the signs of affection from the community and in a brief message he only said "Thank you".
It's honestly nice to hear everyone say thank you. Thank you, everyone.

In case you missed it: Millions of people will lose access to VALORANT; soon they will no longer be able to play
After the founding of Tango Gameworks in 2010, the studio quickly passed that same year to be owned by ZeniMax | Bethesda. The studio's legacy with Shinji Mikami at the helm consists of 5 video games: The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Hero Dice, and Hi-Fi Rush, the latter becoming one of the biggest surprises of the year.
His knowledge and experiences will surely be passed on to his close friends and colleagues who continue at Tango Gameworks to bring new titles that will be enjoyed and loved by everyone in the community.
