VALORANT has been in the spotlight by its community as it has been giving hints of the new agent 22 to be officially revealed very soon. And so far a data miner ValorLeaks has revealed that the name of this new agent is "Gekko" and he will be an initiator, so we must keep in mind these details to confirm its veracity in the coming days.
Apart from this, the official Twitter account of this title has been sharing some short teaser videos in which we usually see the agent's mobile phone receiving different messages from both agents and reminder notifications that give us clues about Gekko's nationality, and based on the clues seen so far we want to give the option that Agent 22 is from Cuba.
This will be the name of the next agent coming out with the next act and will be an initiator.

How can we know that the agent is from Cuba?
At the moment it is a little theory based on the teasers shared by VALORANT so far. But the main reason why we decided to choose Cuba as the country of origin of this new agent is because of the palm trees.
You read it right, in the last two videos revealed so far we can notice that in both of them, you can see what seems to be some kind of palm trees in the background, plus in both, you can notice a subtle way that every scenario they show us seems to be somewhere with civilization. And when looking for some photos of Cuba we can notice that there are some places where we can see palm trees that coincidentally are very similar to those illustrated in the teasers.
Another clue that helps us to clarify the origin of Gekko is that Reyna, whose nationality is Mexican, has mentioned that she trusts this agent. This implies that being someone who also speaks Spanish as a native language and being from a country relatively close to hers, they have known each other easily for a long time.
Another detail to note is that tamales are mentioned in the most recent teaser, a typical food that can be found in a variety of Latin American countries, and Cuba is one of these.

As a reminder, this is a little theory that can be both right and wrong, but we're betting on being right as we feel the clues match what we've been looking for, but the final word is up to Riot Games who will reveal this agent to us very soon, and it is estimated that by this week during the VCT LOCK//IN broadcasts, we will be able to see an official trailer revealing "Gekko."
