Many Cyberpunk 2077 fans loved Cyberpunk Edgerunners, so some players expect the Phantom Liberty expansion to have anime-related content. There is a rumor that at least one of the characters from the series will appear in the DLC.
CD Projekt RED is aware of this information and fans' desire for a possible connection between Cyberpunk 2077 and its hit animated adaptation. For this reason, one of its creatives clarified the issue that arose due to an alleged leak.
CD PROJEKT DENY LEAK ABOUT CYBERPUNK 2077: PHANTOM LIBERTY
In case you don't know, a recent leak claimed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will have a mission related to Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners. Specifically, alleged references to Falco, an anime character, to various organizations in this universe, and locations such as Crystal Palace in space were found.
This led many to believe that the next expansion for the title would offer content based on the anime. However, Adam Grabowski, head of public relations for the studio, denied the information and assured that the leak had nothing to do with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Sorry, but this is not a leak. We do not have this content in either Phantom Liberty or the base game,” the studio member stated.
Some players were dissatisfied with this response, as they are convinced that the leaked content, shown in a video, is real and has to appear somewhere sooner or later. So they asked for a more precise explanation of what Grabowski didn't provide.
That said, it only remains to wait for CD Projekt RED to reveal more details about it so that fans forget about this leak that significantly increased their hype.
Sorry Paul, but this is not a leak. We do not have this content neither in Phantom Liberty nor in the base game.
