Lance Reddick's lawyer denies autopsy results and claims he led a healthy life

The beloved actor died last month

Lance Reddick's legal team has stated that no autopsy was performed on the actor and denied the results of an alleged autopsy that reportedly showed he died from heart-related problems. Reddick, a well-known American actor, passed away at his home on March 17. Weeks later, a media outlet reported that the autopsy results indicated he had died from coronary disease and atherosclerosis, two health conditions that can lead to heart attacks and death.

However, James Hornstein, Reddick's lawyer, has denied the validity of the reported autopsy results, stating that the actor lived a healthy life and no autopsy was performed on him. Hornstein explained that the information shared by the media did not come from an autopsy report, as none had been conducted on Reddick.

"The information in the death certificate is uncorroborated and inconsistent with the facts known to the family," Hornstein said. He added that it is unlikely that Reddick had either of these diseases because there was never any medical indication pointing in that direction. Furthermore, he said that Reddick took care of his health in various ways.

"As far as I know, there was never a medical diagnosis during Lance's lifetime indicating that he had either of these conditions. Lance was the fittest person I have ever known. He exercised daily in his gym, including extensive cardiovascular work, and having a gym was a contractual requirement for him to work away from home. He ate as if a nutritionist were monitoring every meal. The information that appeared on the death certificate is inconsistent with his lifestyle," Hornstein concluded.
