There is no doubt that one of the most popular cartoons currently is Rick and Morty. Thanks to this, the franchise has expanded into different media, including an anime that we now know when it will be available.
One year ago, Adult Swim announced that they were working on a new Rick and Morty project that would give the beloved characters the Japanese animated treatment, a project that would come to life under the creative direction of Takashi Sano.
At that moment, not many details were provided, and the release date or possible launch window was not even mentioned; only that the anime could be found on the HBO Max streaming service.
Well, if you have been waiting for this project, we have good news for you, as HBO Max confirmed through a post that Rick and Morty: The Anime will be ready in 2023, arriving before 2024 to both the streaming service and Adult Swim.
No further details were shared, but the company took the opportunity to share the first official illustration, which shows Rick and Morty apparently as they will appear in the anime.
All we know about the project is that it will consist of 10 episodes and that it was in production one year ago, parallel to Season 6 of the main series.
