Redfall had a bad reception on consoles and PC, so social media is filled with complaints about the current state of Arkane Austin's game. Specifically, Xbox Series S users are upset about the appearance of the title and its technical performance.
Shortly after the game's release, some comparisons of Redfall on all systems were published, and the general opinion is that the Xbox Series S version leaves much to be desired in textures and other elements. Thus, the community is now discussing the potential of the system and the poor state of the vampire shooter.
Several players have stated that they have enjoyed Redfall so far; however, they believe that its biggest problem is its optimization on Xbox Series S. Users of the system criticized the technical aspect of the game, especially its textures on some objects, characters, and locations.
Part of the community not only attacked the state of the game but also launched criticisms against the console's potential. Many were disappointed that an exclusive was not entirely optimized for Xbox Series S when other titles, even from third parties, are.
"I started playing Redfall on the Series S, could postpone the game 1 year without problems, technically it's quite bad, graphics are poor, textures are bad, gameplay is great but nothing out of this world either, a shame. I expected more from Redfall," said one player.
Other users directly believe that the state of the game is insulting and that it would have been best to delay it again. Others see the problem in the power of Xbox Series S and fear that even more demanding games will not arrive optimized.
