Redfall promised to be one of the biggest releases of the year for Xbox and Bethesda. Unfortunately, it fell short and disappointed players with its bland proposal and numerous performance issues on PC and consoles. Now, it made history on Steam.
Since its release in early May, Arkane's new video game has received negative reviews from specialized press and fans. Not only did it have a low peak of players on Steam, it also entered the top 15 worst-rated games on Valve's platform. Unfortunately, the bad news continues for the vampire multiplayer game.
REDFALL IS NOW BETHESDA'S WORST-RATED GAME ON STEAM
If we search for all of Bethesda Softworks' games and expansions on Steam and sort them by user reviews, we will notice that Redfall is at the bottom of the list as the worst-rated game. This means that it had a worse reception than infamous games such as Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Doom VFR, Brink and Fallout 76.
At the time of writing this article, Redfall has a total of 2773 reviews, of which 1972 are negative. In the comments, players railed against the errors and bugs, and showed their discontent with the implementation of "generic" mechanics.
It is striking that the two extremes of the list belong to Arkane. While the vampire title suffers at the bottom of the list, the cult classic Dishonored conquers the top and consolidates itself as the best-rated Bethesda Softworks video game with a total of 71,339 positive reviews from users.
But tell us, what did you think of this multiplayer title? Do you think it deserves the bad reputation it gained in recent days? Let us hear from you in the comments.
Redfall is available for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
