Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Tesla and SpaceX, has found someone to lead Twitter. The mogul confirmed the news in a tweet yesterday and has finally revealed who the mysterious executive will be taking over the company.
On Friday, Musk confirmed that Linda Yaccarino will be the new CEO of Twitter. In case you don't know, she is an executive who until last week served as the head of advertising business at NBCUniversal, a company she joined in 2011.
"I'm excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter. [She] will primarily focus on business operations, while I will concentrate on product design and new technology," Musk said.
Musk also added that he is excited to work with Linda Yaccarino to transform Twitter into "the app for everything."

My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.
According to US media, Yacarrino's hiring will have several positive points for Twitter, mainly her good relationship with several marketing and advertising executives. This is important because since Musk bought Twitter, several advertisers have turned their backs on the platform. It remains to be seen whether the good relationship with Yacarrino will bring advertisers back to the social network.
