The company continues to work to expand its popular franchise to new media

Bungie is now in the hands of PlayStation, and Sony already has plans to expand the reach of Destiny. For a long time, we have known that the companies are working to bring the franchise to other media, so fans are already dreaming of a movie or series based on the saga.

The companies have just made an important hiring to achieve their goal, as they have hired a renowned former executive from Warner Bros. Discovery. We are referring to Gabriel VanHuss, who will now be in charge of taking Destiny beyond video games.

Through a statement, VanHuss reported that he will collaborate with the team in charge of Destiny to design and build a multimedia strategy for the franchise. This opens the doors to movie and television productions.

Likewise, it is almost certain that the franchise will continue to grow with books, comics, and other publications about its lore. VanHuss is excited about this opportunity, as he believes that the saga has everything it needs to shine in the entertainment industry.

"I recently accepted the position of Head of Linear Media for the Destiny franchise at Bungie. In this new role, I will work with the leadership team of the Destiny universe to create the strategy and execute the operations for the expansion of Destiny into new media, including television, movies, books, comics, and audio productions.

"Destiny has a universe full of stories waiting to be told, and I'm eager to connect world-class partners with our incredible creative team to bring them to life for both current and new fans. Stay tuned, Guardians," the executive said.

At the time of writing, Bungie has not confirmed any production based on Destiny, but they surely have something planned to surprise fans of the franchise in the near future.
